Witt Construction, Inc. Garners Three Prestigious National Association of Home Builders Design Awards
From a press release: Witt Construction, Inc., of Saratoga Springs, NY, has been honored with three gold Best in American Living Awards by the National Association of Home Builders.
Awards were formally announced on Wednesday, Feb. 1, during the 2023 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, and nine members of the Witt Construction team joined company president John Witt for the event.
Witt has won BALA honors in the past, but this is the first time he has taken home three in a single year.
The BALA categories in which Witt Construction received honors include:
- One-of-a-Kind Custom Home (2,000-3,000 square feet) for 36 Hyde St. in Saratoga Springs, a classic carriage house exterior with a contemporary “euro fresh” interior.
- One-of-a-Kind Custom Home (3,000-4,000 square feet) for 60 Jenna Jo Ave. in Saratoga Springs. It draws on influences from Saratoga Springs, Nantucket, and The Hamptons, with a bright, open floorplan and expansive kitchen.
- Infill Community for the project Downtown Walk, located on the east side of Saratoga. Springs. It replaced a large, deteriorating industrial building with seven handsome single-family condominiums. The site was originally a brownfield. Remediation included removal of oil burners, asbestos abatement, and demolition of the existing industrial building.
Now in its 39th year, the BALA Awards are the building industry’s premier residential design awards program. BALA spotlights the most creative and talented building industry professionals who have redefined design excellence for homes and communities nationally and internationally.
Shannon McCarthy Team Joins Cutting Edge Cloud-Based Brokerage eXp Realty; Plans to Triple in Size
From a press release: The Shannon McCarthy Team has announced a move to join eXp Realty, a global online brokerage offering state-of-the-art technology. The partnership with eXp Realty will enable agents to spend more time building relationships with their clients, enhancing their real estate experience.
“The resources and technology offered by eXp are a value-add for our clients and agents,” said McCarthy “Our agents will be able to operate more efficiently and employ skills learned through ongoing education, training and support, while our clients will receive an exceptional customer experience and be better positioned to reach their goals.”
McCarthy’s team will also get the best of both worlds; the resources of a brick-and-mortar office from their headquarters in Saratoga Springs and Lake George, along with the innovative, technology resources provided by a cloud brokerage.
To support the growth of the team, McCarthy plans to hire 25 new agents and three full-time staff members, increasing the roster from 14 to 42. Her team has seen an of $62.9 million in total volume of sales between 2021 and 2022. Shannon McCarthy, who began her real estate career in 2003, led her team of experienced realtors and brokers to achieve $144 million in total volume of sales in 2022, up from its $81.1 million in 2021.
