ALL NON-EMERGENCY FUNCTIONS OF CITY GOVERNMENT CLOSED FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2022 DUE TO SNOW EMERGENCY
Saratoga Springs, NY – Due to the winter storm impacting our area, Mayor Ron Kim has declared an emergency situation to close all non-emergency functions of the City of Saratoga Springs on Friday, February 4, 2022. “Please stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel,” said Mayor Kim.
Earlier today, Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco declared a snow emergency in the City from 9:00 am on Friday, February 4 until 9:00 pm Sunday, February 6, 2022. Police, fire, and Department of Public Works snow removal operations will continue uninterrupted.
Vaccination clinics
Warren County Health Services COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled for Thursday, February 3 at Queensbury High School and Friday, February 4 at North Warren Central School have been postponed because of the impending winter storm. New dates will be announced once they are set.
The next Warren County Health Services public vaccine clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8 at Warren County Municipal Center.

Ice Castles will not open Thursday, February 3rd because of weather conditions
LAKE GEORGE, NY – The Ice Castles attraction at Festival Commons in Lake George will not open the night of Thursday, February 3rd, because of the weather conditions. Ice Castles expects to have the site open for regular hours on Friday, February 4th.
Ticket holders are being notified of the closure through phone text or email provided with their ticket purchase.

Fire and Ice Winter Celebration at Crandall Park Pond Canceled Due To Weather
(February 3, 2022, Glens Falls, NY) The Fire & Ice Winter Celebration at the Crandall Park ice skating pond has been canceled this Friday, February, 4, due to inclement weather and poor ice conditions.
The Fire & Ice Celebration will continue from 6pm to 9pm every subsequent Friday in February: February 11, 18 and 25.
As was scheduled, the ice will be specially lighted for ice skating, with six bonfires tended by volunteers situated around the pond for celebrants to warm themselves between skating and other events. Music will be provided by area DJ Peter Wilhelm for skating to the music and dancing. Wilhelm will also host the event. Hot chocolate will be served. In order to promote sustainability, participants are asked to bring their own mugs, as well as their own ice skates and chairs.
The Fire & Ice Celebration will be free. Limited parking is available in the park- volunteers will be directing cars- and on Glen Street. The City is asking that small children be accompanied by adults and that all skaters practice reasonable COVID-19 social distancing and masking.
SAIL’s offices closed Thursday, Friday due to weather
NEW YORK STATE — Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) announces that offices will be closed today, Thursday, February 3, at 2 p.m. and all day tomorrow, Friday, February 4, due to the impending snowstorm.
