
From a press release: Warren County Office of Emergency Services is informing the public that warming centers will be available at a number of locations Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th as dangerously cold temperatures occur across the region.
Wind chills are expected to approach 40 degrees below zero on Friday and early Saturday, and actual temperatures will bottom out near 20 below in parts of Warren County on Saturday morning, A wind chill warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Warren County from 1 a.m. Friday, February 3rd to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4th.
Life-threatening hypothermia can set in within 15 minutes at these temperatures, while frostbite to exposed skin can occur in as little as 15 minutes as well.
Residents can go to the following locations during the specified time periods Friday and Saturday to warm up if needed:
