Gas pumps will come to the Stewart’s Shop at 118 Broad St. in Glens Falls, if the company’s redevelopment plan passes the appropriate Glens Falls boards and committees.
According to papers filed with the Glens Falls Planning Board, which will discuss the project on Tuesday, “construction of a new convenience store and self-service gasoline fueling” station will cost will cost about $1.6 million and take 12 weeks to complete this summer, the document says (see pages 14 to 20). Stewart’s owns its own building and an adjacent one at the location, the intersection of Broad Street and Hudson Avenue. Both will be razed as part of the redevelopment. The new Stewart’s shop will be 3,256 square feet and the gas canopy out front will be 20 by 46 feet.
Also to be taken up by the planning board tomorrow: Bethel Enterprises, LTD, owners of Cooper’s Cave Ale Company, is asking to widen a driveway apron from 10 to 20 feet at the west end of their property at 32 Dix Ave.
