Leaders in Queensbury and Glens Falls have planned two events for this weekend, a remembrance ceremony, with the theme “Our Flag Waves for Those Who never Wavered,” and a related dedication of a plaque to add 75 more names to the memorial wall of the Victory and Peace Monument in Glens Falls.
The cermonies start at the Cool Insuring Arena/Glens Falls Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Glens Falls, at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Memorial Day. The plaque dedication will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Victory and Peace Monument near Crandall Park, 576 Glen St., Glens Falls. Parking for the plaque ceremony is available at the Glens Falls YMCA, 600 Glen St. (on the Fire Road).
Pepe Productions will film the ceremonies and upload them to the City of Glens Falls and the Town of Queensbury’s YouTube channels, a release said.
