Special attention will be given to ensure the contributions to professional wrestling by individuals from various backgrounds and diverse cultures will be highlighted in the establishment.
Tammy Doucette’s Dream Vacation’s website for IPWHF offers extra savings and value-added amenities on cruise and land vacations, all in the name of a good cause. Along with great savings, Tammy will donate the booking fee from every vacation booked back to IPWHF. This will help with raising undesignated funds for the agency.

The plan is to have a building secured, renovated, and ready to open in the next twelve months.

Saratoga Hospital Volunteer Guild Offering College Scholarships
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., —Saratoga Hospital Volunteer Guild is accepting scholarship applications from Saratoga County high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. The deadline to apply is March 31.
Saratoga Hospital Volunteer Guild has provided scholarships since 1990 to help educate future healthcare providers. This year, the Guild will offer up to five $1,500 scholarships. To be eligible, students must be accepted to college for September 2021, have a GPA of at least 3.0 and submit an application by the deadline.
In the past, the Guild has also required a documented record of community service, especially in a healthcare environment. Given the impact of COVID-19, including the lack of volunteer opportunities, the Guild has revised its requirements to include an essay focused on how applicants have been affected by—and have responded to—the pandemic.
Applications and more information are available at local high school guidance offices and online at https://www.saratogahospital.org/classes/volunteering. Scholarship recipients will be contacted by Scholarship Chairperson Irma Somich by April 16.

SBA Prioritizes Smallest of Small Businesses in the Paycheck Protection Program
WASHINGTON – Building on a month of strong results, the Biden-Harris Administration and the U.S. Small Business Administration are taking steps with the Paycheck Protection Program to further promote equitable relief for America’s mom-and-pop businesses.
The latest round of Paycheck Protection Program funding opened one month ago and already the Biden Administration has succeeded in making major improvements to the program’s implementation:
- For businesses with fewer than ten employees, the share of funding is up nearly 60%
- For businesses in rural communities, the share of funding is up nearly 30%
- The share of funding distributed through Community Development Financial Institutions and Minority Depository Institutions is up more than 40%
“While reported data illustrates we have made real strides in ensuring these funds are reaching underserved communities, we believe we can still do better,” says SBA Senior Advisor Michael Roth.
These simple progressive steps by the Biden-Harris Administration further demonstrate the commitment to racial and gender equity, reaching low and moderate-income, rural, urban, and other underserved areas. The SBA will:
- Establish a 14-day, exclusive PPP loan application period for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees
- Allow sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals to receive more financial support by revising the PPP’s funding formula for these categories of applicants
- Eliminate an exclusionary restriction on PPP access for small business owners with prior non-fraud felony convictions, consistent with a bipartisan congressional proposal
- Eliminate PPP access restrictions on small business owners who have struggled to make federal student loan payments by eliminating federal student loan debt delinquency and default as disqualifiers to participating in the PPP; and
- Ensure access for non-citizen small business owners who are lawful U.S. residents by clarifying that they may use Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) to apply for the PPP.
The 14-day exclusivity period will start on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 9 a.m., while the other four changes will be implemented by the first week of March. The SBA is working on the program changes and will communicate details throughout this week.
Borrowers can apply for the Paycheck Protection Program by downloading the First Draw PPP loan application or Second Draw PPP loan application and working with a participating PPP lender through the SBA Lender Match tool.

Saratoga Hospital Uses Teleneurology to Enhance Stroke And Inpatient Neurology Care
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.,—Saratoga Hospital has added teleneurology services—including telestroke care—to give patients 24/7 emergency access to neurologists who have extensive experience treating strokes. The hospital also uses teleneurology for inpatient consultations.
At Saratoga Hospital, as soon as a patient with stroke symptoms enters the Emergency Department, the hospital team issues a stroke alert and, using advanced video-conferencing technology, connects with a neurologist. The teleneurology equipment is mounted on a mobile cart, allowing the remote neurologist to participate in all aspects of the neurological exam—from the CT scan to the physical exam and patient interview—before recommending a course of treatment.
Most patients can be treated at Saratoga Hospital with clot-busting medication. Those who need more advanced care are promptly transferred to Albany Medical Center, Saratoga Hospital’s affiliate in the Albany Med Health System.
Patients who require observation and follow-up care—but not emergency interventions—are admitted to Saratoga Hospital. Depending on their condition, their care may include additional teleneurology consultations. Once patients are discharged, neurology care is provided by members of Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Neurology.
