Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces New Team Members

The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC) is thrilled to welcome on two new team members. Joining the ARCC Team are Carol Ann Conover, as Member Services, and Karen Mattison as Finance Manager.
Carol Ann Conover, a South Jersey native, has a diverse professional background spanning multiple business sectors. With a special passion for travel and tourism hospitality, Carol Ann has written food and travel columns and reviews for several newspapers and online journals. She has been active in the Adirondack region and Glens Falls community since moving here permanently in 2013. She has served at the Glens Falls Farmers Market with Dickinson’s Delights, and has been an active fundraiser.
Karen Mattison, owner of Busy Bee Bookkeeping, LLC, has joined the ARCC team. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the College of St. Joseph after which she worked for a local CPA firm for 13 years, gaining a breadth of knowledge in taxation and bookkeeping. In 2018 she started her own business and obtained her IRS Enrolled Agent designation in 2019. Karen has a love of numbers and assisting businesses in streamlining their bookkeeping and accounting practices.
Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces 2021 Board of Directors and Officers

The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC) is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to our Board of Directors in 2021.
The ARCC would also like to express our gratitude for the service of the following Board Members, whose terms were completed in December 2020:
Brian Bearor, Chief Executive Officer of the Family YMCA of Glens Falls.
Stephanie DiLallo Bitter, Principal Attorney at Bartlett, Pontiff, Stewart & Rhodes, P.C.
Ralph Rimualdo, Owner/President Servpro of Southern Saratoga County and Owner of the Beef Jerky Outlet in Lake George.
We thank them for their service and their continued support of the ARCC.
The ARCC would also like to recognize the addition of Juan Gonzales Jr., Chief Financial Officer of Hunt Companies Inc., to the ARCC Executive Committee.
The new ARCC Board Members are as follows:
Ash Anand, owner and operator of The Lotus Group of Companies, established in 2009 and based out of Warrensburg, N.Y. Ash owns and operates Lotus Analytics, Lotus Property Management, The Grist Mill, Ashes Pub & Ocho Cinco Cantina, Lotus Auto Xperts, and two NAPA stores (Warrensburg Auto & Truck Supplies and Chestertown Truck & Auto).
John Aspland, Managing Partner at the law firm of FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth (FMBF). John also serves as the leader of the firm’s litigation practice group. John joined FMBF in 2002 and was elected a partner in 2004. A supporter of a number of community-based organizations, John also serves as an assistant coach for the Foothills Rangers Rugby Club. John is a graduate of Siena College and the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College. He resides in Queensbury with his wife and two children.
Andrea Deepe, Chief Executive Office for Warren Washington Association for Mental Health, Inc. (WWAMH). WWAMH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit provider of human services that provides an array of services, including residential, clinical, support services, care management, and dual recovery services, to individuals living with mental health diagnoses and challenges residing in Warren and Washington Counties.
Jeff Mead, General Manager of the Cool Insuring Arena and President, Business Operations for the Adirondack Thunder ECHL hockey team. Jeff, born in Glens Falls, N.Y., returned in 2015 to run the Cool Insuring Arena. He oversees all operations at the arena and is the liaison to the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition Board of Directors. In 2017, the Coalition purchased the Thunder from the Calgary Flames, and Jeff was given the role to operate the business side of the team.
Open Door Mission Announces New Board Members to Propel Organization into 30th Year

Open Door Mission announces three new prominent board members that will strengthen the Mission’s strategic growth plan to support a growing need in Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties.
New Board Members Include:
Dr. John Quaresima, Family Medicine Physician at Hudson Headwaters Health Network and Fort Hudson Health System.
David Liebetreu, Independent Consultant, Retired, Vice President & Chief Procurement Officer with International Paper.
Robert Silvestri, Vice President TD Bank/Commercial Banking.
Past board members, and all President Emeriti whose terms recently expired include: Chris Hunsinger, Jeff Leland, and Mary Gooden.
New board members will join Jeff Purner, Board Chair, National Account Manager, Medtronic; Pamela Cleveland, Treasurer, Senior Audit Manager, CMJ LLP; Andrea Palmer, Financial Consultant to lead the organization in to its 30th Anniversary in 2021.
Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Open Door Mission continued operations while ensuring all shelter residents (Men & Women) and guests at the Lawrence Street Kitchen were kept safe.
As the need increased due to the economic downturn, Open Door answered the call by working alongside 176 volunteers equaling 16,493 services hours, provided 452 children regular meals, distributed over 2,567 individuals and 23,103 meals from the Food Pantry, and served 10,468 to-go meals from the Lawrence Street Kitchen.
ANBC Welcomes Three New Members

The Adirondack Nonprofit Business Council (ANBC), of the ARCC, is excited to welcome on three new members.
The ANBC was formed in 2013 and as an initiative of the ARCC, provides a forum to foster peer-to-peer interaction, a symposium to promote awareness, and other programs that strengthen the capacity of non-profit organizations.
The mission of the ANBC is to integrate nonprofits by sharing operational best practices, providing access to connections for nonprofit leadership, and serving as a vehicle that brings greater awareness of the resources and programs available regionally. Welcome to our three new members:
Andrea Deepe, Chief Executive Officer, Warren Washington Association for Mental Health (WWAMH). Prior to becoming CEO, Andrea had over a decade of experience working in the quality assurance, advocacy, and corporate compliance fields, working for private not for profits and the State of New York supporting individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Bill Moon, Executive Director, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks. Bill has spent his career working with youth from all different backgrounds. He has served as the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks since 2015, and before that was working with court involved youth in North Carolina.
Lynn Sickles, Executive Director, Southern Adirondack Child Care Network (SACCN). Lynn has spent over 35 years in the nonprofit world, 29 of those years as the Executive Director of the Southern Adirondack Child Care Network.
