Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties added 222 businesses to the rolls in October, according to New York State filings. That number is higher than any of the past five Octobers.
Domestic Limited Liability Companies make up the vast majority of registrations at 81.1% of the total in October.
Saratoga County had the most registrations at 154, Warren County 39 and Washington County 29.
By comparison, registrations in October 2019 came in at 189 with the distribution through the counties about the same as this year. In October 2015, 124 businesses were registered.
Registration highlights of the counties:
- Warren: Glens Falls 5, Lake George 11, Queensbury 7
- Washington: Whitehall 3 and Cambridge, Fort Edward, Granville, Hudson Falls had 2 apiece.
- Saratoga: Saratoga Springs 36, Ballston Spa 15.
For clarity: some of the business entities are registered in the county but tied to a person or company outside the area.
