Saratoga Arts Announces $148,496.96 for Arts Projects in Fulton, Montgomery and Saratoga Counties
From a press release: Saratoga Arts is pleased to announce the grantees for our 2022 Community Arts Regrant Program which supports organizations and individual artists in Fulton, Montgomery, and Saratoga Counties.
47 grants totaling $148,496.96 have been awarded to support community-based arts events taking place in 2022. “We are thrilled to be setting a record this year not only in the amount of funding distributed but also with the number of projects we will be able to fund,”says Charlie Owens, Grants and Community Relations Manager.
With funding awarded from the New York State Council on the Arts, Saratoga Arts’ Community Arts Regrant Program supports artists, non-profit organizations, and government departments in Saratoga, Fulton, and Montgomery Counties, in partnership with qualifying organizations and artists, to present arts and cultural programs of high artistic merit in local communities.
This years’ grant recipients will be acknowledged and celebrated at our annual Community Arts Celebration on Saturday, May 14, 2022, 10:30 a.m to 12 p.m. at Saratoga Arts, 320 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. 8th Saratoga Comic-con set for May
From a press release: Due to ever-rising pop-culture and comic book fan demand, Saratoga Springs will host its 8th year on its pop culture comic con platform on May 14-15, 2022. This two-day event will feature: Celebrities: Jonah Scott, voice actor as Legoshi from Beastars and many other main anime characters; Lindsay Seidel, voice actor in 100’s of different animes; James O’Barr, Creator and artist for The Crow Graphic novel and comic books; Romy Sharf, Alpha 5 in suit in Mighty Morphin Power Ranger; Bai Ling, actor in The Crow, Crank, Lost, Anna and the King, and many more; Tim Clarke, known as the King of Gross, creating Boglins and Sectors and working on many shows and movies such as, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, Dark Crystal and much more!
