Layer Eight: 100-year-old start-up
LayerEight is the newest Managed Services IT Solution in the North Country and Adirondack Region, and while they have a new name and brand, they are not new to the community or Managed Services. Many of the friendly faces from LayerEight are formerly from PrimeLink Managed Services. PrimeLink, a local provider of voice and data services, offered many businesses in the greater Glens Falls and Saratoga regions with telephone and internet services. PrimeLink was acquired by FirstLight Fiber in August 2020, but the PrimeLink Managed Service Division remained under the same local ownership and retained many of the employees. It has continued to grow in the IT industry, offering a wide range of services from managed wireless and networks to all-inclusive, fully outsourced IT Departments.
