Brodie’s Lakeside replacing building
Brodie’s Lakeside Rentals is looking to raze and rebuild an apartment attached to an existing rental home at their location on 3686 Lake Shore Dr., just south of Diamond Point Road in the Town of Lake George.
They plan to replace the existing apartment building “which is in disrepair, and this project will replace it with a new building in the same footprint and volume,” an application with the Town of Lake George Planning Board says. Onsite wastewater treatment was previously installed for the new rental apartment.
The Brodie family, under Jabro Development, bought the former Gilchrist Marine in 2018 and renovated the property, focusing on boat rentals and the large home on the property. The main rental house at Brodie’s Lakeside sleeps 10 in four bedrooms, their website says.
The Brodie family also owns the Yankee Boating center and marina on Lake George.
Ethan Hall of Rucinsky Hall Architecture is representing the owners. The planning board meets Monday Aug. 10 to consider the application.
