Mintzer elected to the Board of the Alliance of NYS Chambers of Commerce
From a press release: The Chamber Alliance of New York State, a statewide association of more than 70 Chambers of Commerce, has elected Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB Executive Director Gina Mintzer, CMP, MHA, to its Board of Directors for 2022. Mintzer began her term on the CANYS Board in January.
She brings an extensive background in chamber of commerce leadership. She has been executive director of the Lake George Chamber since September 2017.
“Gina’s passion for chambers is effusive, her experience extensive. I’m confident our association will continue to grow with her involvement,” CANYS Executive Director Peter Aust said in the statement.
Mintzer is responsible for the overall development of the processes, productivity and profits that directly impact tourism in the Lake George region.
Mintzer leads the team of 11 full- and several part-time/seasonal staff who do the work of the Chamber and the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau (LGRCVB) as well as managing three visitor welcome information centers. Prior to joining the LGRCC-CVB in 2017, Mintzer spent 19 years working as the director of sales of the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
ARCC names Rogers Vice President of Membership & Community Engagement
From a press release: The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Tricia Rogers has been promoted to Vice President of Membership and Community Engagement. Rogers has acted as the Membership Director since September of 2016, bringing in new members and maintaining relationships within the business community.
“Tricia’s commitment to the community and our region shines through in everything she does. We are blessed to have Tricia’s leadership and her passion for serving,” ARCC President and CEO Michael Bittel said in the statement.
Rogers serves on the board for the Tri-County United Way, Warren Washington Association for Mental Health, and the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation. While at ARCC, Rogers was named to The Post Star’s 20 under 40 list and won the second annual Dancing with the Adirondack Stars competition hosted by Community, Work & Independence Inc. (CWI).
Regional Planning Board Receives 2022 Economic Development Partner of the Year from North Country Chamber of Commerce
From a press release: The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board has been awarded 2022 Economic Development Partner of the Year by the North Country Chamber of Commerce.
The award was presented to LCLGRPB Director Beth Gilles at Friday night’s Annual Dinner hosted by the chamber. The award recognizes a collaboration that has grown between the two organizations throughout the pandemic.
“It is a great privilege to be honored by our colleagues at the North Country Chamber of Commerce,” Gilles said in the statement. “NCCC served as a key committee member for our Forward Together: Economic Resiliency Plan, which promotes collaboration as essential to meeting several ambitious goals set for improving economic resiliency and prosperity.”
During the last year, the LCLGRPB has supported workforce training offered through NCCC and partnered with the Chamber on funding applications to the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Build Back Better Challenge and the Small Business Administration’s Community Navigator Pilot Program.
The board serves Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington counties. The organization is focused on supporting regional economic and community development projects and connecting communities and organizations with state and federal funding dollars.
