In another sign of spring, the Glens Falls Common Council approved a slate of sidewalk encroachments and a food truck at their meeting Tuesday evening. A similar vote was taken earlier in the month [read our coverage, here].
Outdoor dining permits, good from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022, were awarded to:
- Downtown City Tavern, 21 Elm St.
- Davidson Brothers Brewery, 184 Glen St.
- Downtown Social, 190 Glen St.
- Hometown Cigars & Lounge, 278 Glen St.
The restaurants can place tables and chairs on the sidewalks and conduct business following all COVD-19 protocols and guidelines.
A food truck permit--or Mobile Food Unit License, to be precise--was awarded to:
- Barry Waterson, The Hangry Scot, of Schenectady, may operate at the Lawrence Street Tavern, 28 Cooper St.
Gourmet Café is getting the roof repaired, and a dumpster was placed in the alley behind the restaurant at 185 Glen St.
Finally, the city officially began the process of updating the tax rolls. The city approved a contract with KLW appraisal group in the amount of $305,000 to be paid half this year and half next “for the provision of professional, real property valuation services for evaluating all real property in the City of Glens Falls,” the resolution says.
