Another slew of fun signs of spring blossomed from the Glens Falls Common Council meeting Tuesday evening, May 11. More outdoor dining was approved as were licenses for food trucks.
Two food trucks, or “Mobile Food Units,” were approved for license:
- Tyler Klinker of Ty’s Taco-Ria, in Delancy, N.Y.
- Michael Nigro of Green Mountain Concessions in Bennington, Vt. Nigro’s licence specifically covers the LARAC Summer Arts Festival August 14-15, 2021.
Outdoor dining permits and permissions to place tables and chairs on the sidewalks went to:
- Alif Cafe, 193 Glen St. They get three tables and six chairs. This was a first-time application, so the permit had to first be reviewed and approved by the city’s Planning Board. Because of that, the permit begins now and runs through May 31 of 2022.
- Bullpen, 216 Glen St. won approval for four tables with two chairs each. Two tables will sit next to their building and two closer to the street.
- Craft on 9, 7 South St., six tables and 12 chairs along the front of their building.
The Bullpen and Craft on 9 won renewals, so their current applications run to the end of this month and the new approvals begin June 1 and end May 31, 2022. In both outdoor dining and food truck services all COVID restrictions must be followed, the city’s resolutions say.
