A section of Luther Forest in Malta will be developed, according to a story in the Albany Business Journal this morning. Scannell Properties of Indianapolis, will invest about $255 million on five buildings in Malta, bringing 2,500 jobs to the region, the ABJ says. Starting next summer, the development on the 245 acre Luther Forest Technology Campus near GlobalFoundaries will be home to large buildings aimed at the technology, manufacturing and distribution sectors, the story says.

Slickfin Brewing in Fort Edward plans to knock down a building that adjoins their own and create a beer garden, the Post-Star reports this morning. The new space will add to a lawn that slopes from the brewery down to the Fort Edward Yacht Basin on the Hudson River.
Manufacturing, Agriculture and Forestry
A huge, multinational dairy database was created in October to help farmers nearly worldwide make better, data-driven decisions, Dairy Business is reporting (on print and podcast). The database International Dairy Data Exchange intends to bring information together from "dairy herds, milk recording organizations and dairy equipment manufacturers," the story says. The National Dairy Herd Information Association in the United States worked with other European organizations on the venture.

The Saratogian reports that Salon 8 completed a move a from Wells, Vt., this summer and is now open on Loughberry Road in Saratoga Springs. The space was designed to offer service to just one person at a time offering hair coloring and cuts for women only.
