Palette grows across B’way
The Albany Business Journal reports that the Palette networking and business community owned by Catherine Hover has expanded from its upstairs location at 493 Broadway in Saratoga Springs to the basement of the Collamer Building, across the street at 480 Broadway. Hover also owns Saratoga Paint and Sip on Henry Street. Pallette's original location, opened in 2019, once included the downstairs cafe now occupied by Broadway Grind. Development near King’s Tavern moves forward
A home on Mitchell Street near the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs will be razed to make way for a pool and cabana as the first step toward a small, private homeowner’s association that locals say may ruin the neighborhood, says a story in the Times Union. The home sits between King’s Tavern and the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, just west of the East and Union avenue intersection. A Massachusetts company, Hanley Development, is the developer. Matt Jones, of the Jones Steves law firm, represents Hanley, and said the private club will be an amenity for the new homes while residents are concerned that it will sit empty all year except during the six weeks of track season.
