Prime Group of Saratoga Springs plans to raise $1.5 billion to expand its number of self-storage facilities across the country, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. The company owns $4 billion in real estate in 26 states, the story says. A transaction nearing completion now will add $300 million to $400 million in assets, the story says. Also in the ABJ, Airosmith Development, a builder of cell towers, surpassed 100 employees. Although based in Saratoga Springs, about 25% of the business’ work is in the New York City and Westchester County area. The company’s CEO Margaret Smith Cassier says the plan is to push into the mid-Atlantic area and the Carolinas. The company is part of the race to 5G networking and the $80 billion that the FCC recently auctioned for that expansion, the story says.

West Brook Road in Lake George Village is now Betty Little Boulevard, the Post-Star is reporting. The boulevard that stretches in front of the Charles R. Wood Park and the Around-the-World miniature golf course, connects Canada Street to Beach Drive. Lake George Village Mayor Bob Blais said the road was chosen because it borders Lake George Village and the Town of Lake George. The street ends at Lake George itself, a state-regulated body of water. The retired senator had a hand in helping all of these entities over a 30-year career in public service, the mayor said according to the story. Dozens spoke of her work and the trailblazing she accomplished as a woman in state government.
Assemblyman D. Billy Jones (D-Chateaugay Lake) is calling on New York to vaccinate essential workers from Canada, a story in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. It’s an effort and goodwill that other border states have done, and it will help open the border, he says according to the story.
