The family-owned Dunham’s Bay Boat and Beach Club has been sold, the Albany Business Journal reported on Monday. The 60-slip marina was sold to two Florida holding companies, the story says. They paid about $1.1 million for 9.2 acres. This is not to be confused with the Dunham’s Bay Boat Company (next door) which sold a couple years ago to Matt and Rebecca O’Hara who run it as the Queen Boat Co. and Freedom Boat Club. Nor should it be confused with the Dunham’s Bay Resort, across the street, which is a family resort with beach access to the lake.
Also in the ABJ, Adnet Technologies of Albany has announced some permanent changes to their structure after a year of the pandemic. Their offices will change to become more collaborative and people will be expected to work from home more, the story says. The company envisions a plan that allows people to work at home or choose to come into the collaborative space.

Upstate Sen. Dan Stec is calling for the state to pull back on a policy that requires people with developmental disabilities to go back to state housing if they are COVID asymptomatic though contagious, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. The policy is too similar to the nursing home policy that sent sick seniors back to their homes after hospital stays, what’s seen as a failed policy in the state. The rule that forced people back into the state homes has been in effect since early in the pandemic.
