Get your to-go Moscow Mule today only
Alcohol-to-go is ending this week, says the Albany Business Journal. This was a lifeline for many bars and restaurants during the height of the pandemic, and the push from restaurateurs to keep it going post-COVID was heavy. The rules had said the to-go privileges would hold until July 5, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo ended the COVID state of emergency, and with it went a bar’s ability to send a cocktail home, the story says. Tomorrow, the sales are no longer allowed. [At a ribbon cutting three weeks ago in Schuylerville, state Sen. Daphne Jordan, R-43, said, “Maybe” the drink rule would stick. Although restaurants and their lobbying groups like the idea, Todd Shimkus, the president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce said at the same ribbon cutting, the liquor stores in particular were opposed.]

People report hearing the small animals eating the leaves, and the sound of the leaves falling reminds people of rain. Give it a month, the scientists say, and the leaves will regrow.
