A developer is proposing a condominium project along the south shore of Saratoga Lake, the Albany Business Journal reported on Friday. The development would remove all the buildings on the former South Shore Marina site and replace them with five buildings, a restaurant and marina. Along with 96 condominiums, the site might include a clubhouse, fitness center, and public access to the lake, the story says.

Washington County has a new administrator in Melissa Fitch, the Post-Star is reporting. She has worked in the county’s personnel department for 7 ½ years, the story says.

The Malta Food Fest is on later this week, the Saratogian is reporting. The event Thursday, 4:30-7:30 p.m., features dinners that can be taken to-go and reheated at home. Via the Partnership Fund, the proceeds support technology education in the county.

Hockey in the Lake Placid began over the weekend with the National Women’s Hockey League bubble season, a two week intense session designed to keep players safe from the coronavirus but allowing play, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. No fans are present for the games--that is, the teams play in a “bubble”--that run this week daily, and next week the playoffs begin with a championship game on Feb. 5. The Olympic Herb Brooks rink where they play has been closed since March.
