A husband and wife team of veterinarians, already big in the horse breeding industry, have bought the 100-acre Stone Bridge Farm in Northumberland, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. Scott and Patricia Flores Ahlschwede, of Rood & Riddle equine hospital in Saratoga Springs purchased the farm after renting for two years and plan 25 foals this year, the story says.

Also in the ABJ: local banks had a good 2020 because of the pandemic, not despite, but they are preparing for the worst, just in case. The FDIC released information, according to the story, that says community banks saw a 21.2% increase in quarterly net income during 2020. The strain on restaurants and landlords because of the pandemic does have banks cautious.
Architecture, Engineering and Development
The greenspace near 333 Glen Street may get a four-storey apartment building instead of a five storey building, according to an article in the Post-Star this morning. The developer, Chris Patten, who owns the property already, has submitted plans to the Glens Falls Planning Board. They will take it up next week. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is facing new allegations this morning that he kissed a former aide on the lips and touched her on the lower back, arms and legs without her consent, according to a story in today’s Adirondack Daily Enterprise. The governor’s office flatly denied the charges. Lindsey Boylan, who is running for Manhattan borough president in New York City, posted the allegations on Medium, the blogging site, saying that she did so after allegations appeared in newspapers about Cuomo’s terrible temper.
