West Avenue condominiums are hot items, according to a story in the Albany Business Journal. The hockey “bubble” tournament in Lake Placid has been cancelled, just as the women were to compete in playoffs, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. Yesterday, the Connecticut Whale bowed out, and today the entire season has collapsed, the story says. The heartbreaking closure, as the National Women’s Hockey League interim commissioner said, was just 12 hours from having its first-ever broadcast of a game live on a major cable station, NBC Sports.
