Americade motorcycle rally organizer Christian Dutcher has put together what he believes is a COVID-safe alternative to the annual Lake George Winter Carnival, which was cancelled due to concerns created by the pandemic, the Post-Star is reporting. He got support from the Queensbury Occupancy Tax Committee last night for the plan that would have hoteliers sell tickets for a package of activities, most of which can be done alone or in small groups of family and friends, the story says.
The Belvedere Inn in Schenectady sold for $1.7 million, the Times-Union is reporting.

Fort Hudson nursing facility will get coronavirus vaccinations and begin treatment of residents on Jan. 2, the Post-Star is reporting. CVS is administering the vaccine. The center was particularly hard-hit earlier in the year. Residents will get the second dose in late January, the story says.

Flight! the new market in Glens Falls with a European aesthetic, plans to open a cafe where you can dress up a little or a lot, depending on your mood, a story in Glens Falls Living says. Called Flight Wine & Restaurant it will cater to people looking for a night out of fine dining and will open in January or February. Flight used to be Adk Fresh.

Bow Tie Cinemas with screens in Saratoga Springs is opening, despite the pandemic, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. The screens open Dec. 18. In a Q&A with the ABJ, Bow Tie’s COO says they are running at just 25% capacity, they have films for the holiday season and Netflix is giving them some titles a few weeks before they will be streamed directly to homes. It’s all about seeing it on the big screen, COO Joe Masher says.
