Dairy farmers are getting a boost from the office of the U.S. Trade Representative. The USTR is arguing that Canada is skirting the rules on how tariffs are applied to dairy products, rules established under the U.S., Mexico, Canada trade agreement that went into effect in July, dairyreporter.com is reporting this morning. Many dairy groups are supporting the USTR in this.

The Adirondack Park Agency will consider campfire pits and a larger parking lot at the Essex Chain Lakes, a story in Adirondack Explorer reports. The ADA will meet today to consider changes to this area relative to state land use plans for the Adirondack Park. The lakes sit in the Hudson Gorge Wilderness area, off Route 28 northwest of Warrensburg.
