Peregrine markets pharmaceutical companies and their new medications to insurance companies, hospitals and wholesalers. Only about 10 companies do this nationally.

The new law passed this spring penalizes businesses that do not have procedures in place by Sept. 4. Labor leaders like the law because it keeps workers safe. A handful of small business groups wrote to Gov. Kathy Hochul asking for leniency on this rule.
