The company attempting to put a solar energy farm in a residential area of Moreau has withdrawn their application, the Post-Star is reporting this morning. U.S. Light Energy had wanted the farm at the former Tee-Bird South golf course. The town planning board did not like the project and was working to make sure the town board voted against it, the story says.

The former Beech-Nut factory in Montgomery County may get a new lease on life, the Times-Union is reporting. The former baby food factory may become a commercial marijuana-growing and processing plant, the story says. E29 Labs is looking to repurpose the building for their needs, the story says.

The Capital Region celebrates the murder and manslaughter conviction of the police officer, Derek Chauvin, who killed George Floyd last year and set off massive protests throughout the country, the Times-Union is reporting. Parking in the Adirondacks is back in the news as the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation closed Route 73 in the High Peaks region to long-term parking the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. Two parking areas are closed off completely near the Roaring Brook trailhead and other measures to ensure public safety have been implemented, the story says.
