Premium boat builder, Hacker Boats, won tax incentives from the Warren-Washington Industrial Development Agency to stay in New York, the Albany Business Journal is reporting this morning. The incentives make way for Hacker Boat to move production and headquarters from the north end of Lake George, to Corinth Road in Queensbury, close to Exit 18 of the Northway. The company had considered a move to North Carolina.

Capitol City mission is racing to vaccinate Albany’s homeless population, the Times-Union is reporting. The story follows David Poach as he races through the homeless shelter to vaccinate people before the vaccines expire. He has 40 doses of the vaccine, and just one hour.
Architecture, Engineering and Development
In Saranac Lake, the village council agreed to speed up an expansion of the Riverwalk area, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise is reporting. They made the decision at the behest of a local brewery which is situated just beyond the end of the current walk, which follows the river through downtown Saranac Lake. The construction is part of their Downtown Revitalization Initiative, the story says.
Travel, Tourism and Recreation
$1.55 million of the recently-passed state budget will go toward visitor use of the Adirondack Park and the Catskills, the Adirondack Explorer reported yesterday. Of that $800,000 will go to Essex County to address the huge influx of visitors that the county has seen during the pandemic, the story says.
