cb20 moving to Springs
The fast-growing IT firm cb20, formerly Computer Professionals International, will be moving to a 7,000 square foot office in Saratoga Springs by year’s end, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. The firm’s CEO expects revenue growth of 50% next year and has grown staff from 35 to 50 people since May, the story says.
Daigle cleaning expanding
Daigle Cleaning Systems has opened an office in Clifton Park and purchased Care Clean Inc. of Saratoga in Mechanicville, the ABJ is reporting. The purchase adds nine employees and a few dozen clients to the Daigle firm. With clients up into Warren County, the Mechanicville location added office and warehouse space north of Albany, the story says.
Ballston Spa wants help in planning
Ballston Spa is needs people to apply for positions on a steering committee working to revise the village's comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan guides other committees and staff as they make decisions about the village's overall character and quality of life, a story in the Times Union says. The story says the steering committee is expects to focus on the several topics.
Whitehall Armory sold
The Whitehall Armory sold for $495,000, says the New York State MLS website. According to the listing, the 37,342 square foot armory built in 1899 was designed by Architect Isaac G. Perry. The property covers 2.8 acres and includes a eight full baths, two half baths, bar, commercial kitchen, a 6,000 square foot maintenance facility and three turrets! It sold Nov. 18, the website says.
Septic proposal stopped up
The Warren County Board of Supervisors will continue to review a proposed septic system inspection law rather than make an immediate decision, the Post-Star reported over the weekend. The law would require people to have their septic systems inspected before selling or transferring ownership of properties if the property is within 250 feet of seven Warren County waterways. Government overreach and the general sense that it would require a lot of workers to oversee encouraged Glens Falls 3rd Ward Supervisor Claudia Braymer to pull it.
Heggen pushes back on lawyer’s words
BLM Saratoga supporter Gabrielle Elliott did not have her charges for three misdemeanors dropped, but she was given adjournment in contemplation of dismissal after the DA looked at her clean record, the Daily Gazette is reporting. Her lawyer, Jasper Mills, said thanked the DA and the judge for providing this outcome but also said the DA recognized the charges as “a pile of garbage.” The DA’s office does not see the charges in that light, the story says.
