New York District Map hit final draft
Glens Falls would be redrawn into a reconfigured 113th Assembly District along with Saratoga Springs, Mechanicville, Hudson Falls, and Schuylerville, among other locations. The 114th which includes Brant Lake would gain Hartford, in Washington County, a story in the Post-Star says. Democrats say that the map brings together many locales that are undergoing downtown revitalization, but Republicans say isolating Glens Falls from the rest of Warren County makes no sense.

Dakes propose development on Snake Hill
Snake Hill, the 30-acre treed dome that juts into Saratoga Lake and has been untouched by development is being considered as the site of four homes, a story in the Times Union says. The plans have been submitted in the Town of Stillwater, but the Saratoga Lake Association would like the owners to consider selling the land to the town through a Community Forest Conservation Grant. The Dake family, who run Stewart’s Shops, own the property. The hill is named by early settlers for the snakes that nested there and is also known locally for stories of lovers’ leaps and Native American battles, the story says. The homes will be developed by Bonacio Construction and sold, the story says.

It was founded in 1925.
