GLENS FALLS, NEW YORK — EDC Warren County hosts State of the Housing Market Discussion: Part 2, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Queensbury Hotel, at 88 Ridge Street, in Glens Falls, New York.

“Warren County’s residential real estate market, like many markets around the country, is the hottest it has been in a generation,” says Jim Siplon, President of EDC Warren County. “The expected influx of new residents on relatively short notice naturally creates a need to plan for the future of our communities. In addition to housing, our communities need to expand and improve infrastructure, especially water and wastewater facilities that are critical to protecting the environment and public health.”
EDC is leading a community effort to assess the overall need for housing and related services and to develop policy recommendations that will help Warren County balance the development of new housing with the goal of protecting the rural, small-town character and quality of life of local communities.
“We plan to develop actionable recommendations for the public- and private-sector in the next six months,” says Mr. Siplon.
