Glens Falls NAACP commemorates MLK Jr.

The Glens Falls Branch of the NAACP will commemorate the life and work of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 15, 2023 (rain date 01/16/2023). This year we gather again in-person! The celebration will begin at Glens Falls City Hall at 3:00 p.m. with greetings from Mayor Bill Collins and local politicians.
The commemorative march from City Hall to Christ Church United Methodist will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by the program at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist, 54 Bay Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801. Inspired by the theme, “Expressing the Dream Through the Arts," featured guests will present uplifting expressions of freedom, justice, and equality.
Guests include: Glens Falls High School Octet, Hudson Falls High School Choraliers, Queensbury High School Madrigals, Glens Falls Temple Synagogue Religious School, and local high school students presenting written and spoken words. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the program.
