Glens Falls: Wastewater treatment contracts
Raftelis Company has won a $67,000 contract from the Glens Falls Common Council to evaluate the capacity, flow and cost of the city’s wastewater treatment plant. BDP Industries has won the contract to provide and install a Gravity Belt Thickener in the city’s wastewater treatment plant. It replaces aging equipment, documents with the city say. The contract is for $439,500.
Glens Falls Mayor pushing for more bikes
The bikeshare program operated by health insurer CDPHP and the Capital District Transit Authority had a great, first year last year, Mayor Bill Collins told the Glens Falls Common Council on Feb. 8. So the mayor, Greater Glens Falls Transit Authority and the CDTA are talking about bringing more bikes to the region. The funding will not come from the city coffers, the mayor said.
“We were one of the more successful programs with [CDPHP and CDTA],” Collins told the board.

Michael Weaver Joins Fenimore Asset Management
From a press release: Fenimore Asset Management, an independent, Capital Region-based investment advisory firm and manager of the FAM Funds family of mutual funds, has hired Michael Weaver as a Business Development Specialist on its sales team.
Mr. Weaver is responsible for the firm’s customer relationship management system and optimizing data and reporting procedures while providing other sales team support. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Siena College in 2021, with minors in both business and data science. Fenimore Asset Management has more than $4.6 billion in assets under management (as of December 31, 2021) through its Cobleskill and Albany offices.
