Saratoga National Bank's Regional Manager Karen Mason, President and CEO David DeMarco, and Branch Manager Ava Marco pose for a picture at the recent Wilton branch ribbon cutting.
Arrow Financial Corporation cut the ribbon on its Wilton Branch, Monday Nov. 22, a branch at 3025 Route 50 near the Home Depot, Staples and Price Chopper just east of Northway Exit 15. After renovation of the building, the branch opened Nov. 1. Arrow Financial is the parent company of Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co.
This branch consolidates two of Saratoga National's branches that had been open in Wilton and Gansevoort, closer to residential areas. The new location is a decidedly commercial area.
“It’s a different world,” said David DeMarco at the ribbon cutting. He was referring to the move away from people’s homes and closer to their shopping and work locations. DeMarco is president and CEO of Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. He added, “You’ve still got to be there, but you don’t have to be everywhere.”
The branch, with a small contingent of tellers, has office spaces for people to meet with financial advisors, and it even sports a small conference room set up with a monitor.
The days of tellers and traditional transactions are going away, DeMarco said.
Now, the tellers are something he called “universal bankers,” the people who can handle standard deposits or other transactions but can also help a customer with opening accounts or applying for a loan.

“It’s a nice location,” said Ava Marco, the branch manager. She said it has been very busy, and she has seen a lot of new faces. “They like the new branch,” she said. “They like the parking lot.”
The event was hosted by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
