ARCC staff wins Henry Crandall Award
From a press release: Crandall Public Library is set to host their annual Henry Crandall Award Function on Wednesday, October 13, at The Queensbury Hotel. The event includes the presentation of the Library’s 11th Henry Crandall Award.
In the past, this award recognized an individual who has demonstrated the values and legacy of Library founder Henry Crandall (1821-1913), including generosity, perseverance, loyalty, compassion, civic pride, and philanthropy.
Recipients have affected the improvement of the community and demonstrated a commitment to Crandall Public Library. As the region has been changed by COVID-19, the Library felt compelled to also change how they view the award and the Board of Trustees have selected the staff and volunteers of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC) as this year’s recipients.
For over one hundred years, the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce has been recognized as the advocate for, and of, business in the Adirondack region of New York. They proudly serve this thriving community including Essex, Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga counties.
Like Henry Crandall, who could not have started the Library without help from others, neither can Michael Bittel, ARCC CEO, advocate for our region without his four team members: Amanda Blanton, Carol Ann Conover, Karen Mattison, and Tricia Rogers, 21 board members, 23 ambassadors, and 700+ members.
The event will be held at The Queensbury Hotel on October 13 starting at 7:30 AM.
