Assistant dean takes helm of Continuing Education Association, earns award
From SUNY Adirondack: Caelynn Prylo, SUNY Adirondack’s assistant dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Innovation, was installed as president of the Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY) at the organization’s annual conference and 50th anniversary celebration.
“Serving continuing education professionals in this capacity is an honor,” Prylo said. “Over the past 20 months, we have faced immense challenges together and continue to meet the needs of our diverse and unique communities.”
Prylo has been a member of the CEANY Board of Directors since 2014, serving on and leading several committees, and acting as chair of the conference in 2018.
Prylo’s team in SUNY Adirondack’s Continuing Education and Workforce Innovation earned CEANY’s James C. Hall 2021 Exemplary Marketing Program Award for its enrollment and communications initiative throughout the 2020-21 academic year. The team surpassed its enrollment goal by creating new student communications, piloting marketing techniques and developing new multimedia content to promote enrollment in Continuing Education courses.

New director of women’s health services
From Saratoga Hospital: Saratoga Hospital has promoted Sarah Bunzey, of Hadley, to director of women’s health services. She has worked at the hospital since 2004, most recently as a clinical coordinator in women’s health services.
“Sarah brings years of clinical experience, a calm and consistent leadership style, and a passion for perinatal nursing,” said Toni Bishop-McWain, vice president and chief nursing officer at Saratoga Hospital. “She is an excellent choice to take on this expanded role.”
For Bunzey, the promotion is the next step in the realization of a childhood goal. She has known since her teenage years that she wanted to be a perinatal nurse, caring for women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Bunzey has an associate degree from SUNY Adirondack and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City. She is certified in inpatient obstetric nursing, electronic fetal monitoring and as a lactation counselor.
