As is typical of localities during the first meeting of the year, the Town of Bolton established some basic regulations about meeting rules, insurance and other boilerplate items.
Also typical, they announced the salaries of employees and spent money on various organizations.
Among the resolutions passed at the meeting Tuesday morning:
Council member Susan Wilson was sworn in as deputy supervisor.
Salaries for elected officials were approved:
- Supervisor: Ronald Conover $41,110
- Councilpersons: Robert MacEwan, Tim Coon, Susan Wilson, Wanda P. Cleavland at $6,334 each
- Justices: Edward White, Joe Connally $14,235 each
- Highway Superintendent: William Sherman $64,368
- Town Clerk: Jodi Petteys: $43,972
Salaries for town staff were also approved. The amounts ranged from the Director of Planning/Zoning at $83,081 and $69,194 per year for the town counsel to $35,000 per year for the chief of police and $13 per hour for Park Attendant.
Board members approved payments to these groups:
- $1,000 American Legion
- $20,000 Bolton Chamber of Commerce
- $250,097 Bolton Emergency Medical Services, Inc.
- $65,000 Bolton Free Library
- $37,000 Bolton Historical Society
- $5,000 Bolton Rural Cemetery
- $13,200 Bolton Senior Citizens
- $15,000 Bolton Terrestrial Invasive Plant Program
- $7,500 Fund for Lake George Terrestrial Program
- $30,000 Lake George Park Commission Aquatic Invasive Program
