Franklin Community Center Announces 2021-2022 New Board of Directors Members, Thanks Outgoing Directors
Franklin Community Center (FCC), a Saratoga Springs-based organization that provides basic necessities and services to individuals and families, is pleased to announce its 2021-2022 Board of Directors. Joining the board for their first 3-year term are Thomas J. Ruane and Kathy Hall. Originally, from NYC, T.J. is an attorney at the firm of Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP. Kathy is the owner of K Hall Consulting, helping credit unions with business development, financial wellness and talent strategies. Kathy is also a SCORE volunteer consultant, assisting new and existing businesses.
FCC’s board is comprised of civic, business and community leaders elected to serve and guide the organization into a successful future.
Assuming the role of Board President, Zachary Manz has served on the board for 6 years.
“Our grass-roots and non-bureaucratic approach remains a board priority, as we work together to grow this non-profit and promote healthy lifestyles and positive changes,” Manz said.
FCC also wishes to sincerely thank its outgoing board members for their years of service. Long-time board member George Igler has served on FCC’s Board for over 25 years. His involvement goes back to the establishment of FCC and his wealth of historical knowledge and information has been integral in the creation and success of FCC’s programs. Chris Cook has served on the board for 9 years. Outgoing Board President, Jason Lynch, has served on the board for 3 consecutive terms. His service includes being an active member of several committees during his tenure. He also chaired the FCC’s successful capital campaign to raise funds for the expansion of the food pantry in 2014. Each will be greatly missed.

AHI ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
[Glens Falls, NY] – Adirondack Health Institute announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Jeannie Cross, Geoffrey Peck, and Robert Ross will each serve a three-year term.
A retired health care executive, Cross most recently headed state and federal government relations efforts at Metropolitan Jewish Health System (MJHS), one of New York’s largest and most comprehensive systems of short- and long-term sub-acute and post-acute care services. In that role, she spearheaded legislation and regulation that expanded hospice and palliative care options and worked on initiatives to improve the coordination of long-term care across multiple settings and enhance chronic care.
Peck serves as the Vice President of Population Health at Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home and Executive Director of the Nathan Littauer Foundation. Working collaboratively with AHI and numerous partner organizations, Peck held a number of roles for the recently-concluded Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, including serving as the executive lead of the Fulton County Population Health Network (PHN), one of five such networks that were part of the AHI PPS (Performing Provider System).
Ross has served as the Chief Executive Officer at St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers since 2007. In that role, he is responsible for the organization’s overall operation, including strategic planning, policy development, fundraising, public relations, and staff evaluation. Ross oversees a 67-bed inpatient unit, a 25-bed intensive residential veteran addiction and post-traumatic stress syndrome program, and other programs.In addition, AHI announces current board officers Dan Burke, Chair, Dianne Shugrue, Vice Chair, David Kaiser, Treasurer, and Wouter Rietsema, MD, Secretary, will each serve another year in their present position, while retired health care executive Susan Delehanty will step down at the end of her term.
